Looking for a unique and fun way to spend time outdoors? Geocaching is an environmentally friendly outdoor recreational activity. This outdoor treasure hunting game involves searching for hidden objects using clues and GPS (global positioning system) coordinates. Enjoy learning and taking in the beauty of destinations while on your real life treasure hunt for geocaches!

You will need a CELLULAR DEVICE WITH DATA CAPABILITIES SO YOU CAN NAVIGATE TO A CACHE. A Geocaching App is required in order to participate. Those who sign up will receive directions on how to download and activate the app. Make a username prior to coming to class.
There is a free version and a premium version of the app. The premium version is $6.99/month or $39.99/year. This will allow you to find every geocache available. The free version limits the amount of geocaches available.
Wear good walking shoes and bring a small snack and water in a draw string bag.
