Description:
This introductory horseback riding camp provides a safe and fun environment for youth to learn about horses, riding and basic horsemanship. Participants will learn: Grooming and tacking, leading and handling horses safely, basic riding skills in the arena, horse behavior and care and barn safety and responsibilities. Each week includes hands-on time with horses and mounted riding instruction in small groups. Helmets are provided. No prior riding experience is required.
Required: Closed toed shoes or boots and long pants.
