Description:
The Oshkosh Recreation Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will sponsor a Junior Angler Education Program for girls and boys. The program will cover aquatic ecology, fish habitat and habits, outdoor ethics, fisheries management, fishing equipment and fishing techniques. A classroom session will be conducted in addition to a shoreline fishing experiences.
The Junior Angler Program is for youth with little or no fishing experience. All fishing equipment will be provided. Participants must be the required age as of first day of program.
In the event of inclement weather, Junior Anglers may be canceled and the cancellations will be posted on our website. There will be no makeup dates/refunds for any cancellations.
Bring to Class:
Class will be held at Menominee Park. Participants should meet by the Kiwanis Shelter (Shelter #1) by the amusement ride area.
Location for the "fishing day" may change due to water/weed level
MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ALL 4 DAYS OF THE PROGRAM
